Microsoft is highly expected to release its next big Windows 10 update in spring 2017

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has recently released its Windows 10 anniversary update, codenamed “Redstone” and the software giant has already confirmed that it intends to release two additional Windows 10 updates by Spring 2017. Reliable sites are speculating that Microsoft is going to be releasing the second major update to Windows 10 in spring 2017 and the third major update to Windows 10, codenamed “Redstone 3” will be officially rolled out in late-2017. Interestingly, numerous reliable sites are speculating that the software giant is also currently working on its next generation Surface devices which will officially hit the market in early 2017. This means that the upcoming Windows 10 Redstone 2 OS will probably come preinstalled on the next generation Surface Pro and the upcoming Surface Book 2.

The update to Windows 10 is meant to improve the functionality and the user experience of upcoming devices. Microsoft wants to stay ahead of its rivals, for which it has made the upcoming updates to Windows 10 compulsory. Although this might seem like a “we know what’s best approach” from the software giant but the move is aimed at enhancing the overall user experience of both current and upcoming devices. Microsoft has already automatically updated majority of Windows devices and it will do the same when its Redstone 2 update officially starts rolling out.

Microsoft is rumored to be working on the next generation Surface Pro, dubbed Surface Pro 5 and the upcoming Surface Book 2 that will feature impressive upgrades compared to their respective predecessor models. Also, it is believed that Microsoft will look to fix the few down sides that the current Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book have, with the launch of their successor models. There are hot rumors about an improved Surface Pen which recharges wirelessly from its device. Another reliable rumor is that the upcoming Surface devices will be powered by the latest seventh generation Intel Kay Lake processor. Finally, the upcoming Surface devices are highly rumored to sport heavily upgraded 4k display screens.

Only time will tell if Microsoft has planned such heavy updates for its next generation Surface devices but these reliable sites and their speculation have gotten us all very excited and hopeful for the future. Watch the space!
